Articles by "Parts Ways"

Children Of Bodom have parted ways with their guitarist Roope Latvala, whose been there for the past decade. The band had said "As we parted ways with no bad blood, we wish him nothing but the best and thank him for allowing us to share the last twelve years of our lives with him. [We] hope [the fans] know that this will not affect the upcoming shows or the new album as we recorded it as a four-piece and it is already mixed, mastered, heavy as shit and ready to go!"

Capture The Crown have parted ways with both guitarist Jye Menzies and drummer Tyler March. The band have not officially released a statement on the member’s departures as of yet, Manzies and March have each spoken about leaving the band. You can check out what they had to say below.

Menzies:

"I've had a log of questions lately regarding Capture The Crown. Some of you may know that I left the band after the last tour. Unfortunately, I was unable to continue to be a part of something that had become such negative force in my life. I was a founding member of Capture The Crown and put my entire life and myself into it which made my decision very difficult and saddening. The fans I met and the friends I made will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you for believing in my and helping me achieve a lot of my crazy life goals. I intend to continue writing music and following my passion! If you have any questions don’t be afraid to ask; I’ll answer them all honestly and to the best of my knowledge. Thank you all and see you soon."

March:

"Well here goes nothing. To all that’s been asking, I have officially left Capture The Crown. It was my choice to leave the band but that doesn’t mean that I am in any way upset or on bad terms with the current members in the band. I love those guys to death and only wish them the best. The new drummer is a good friend of mine as well. My heart isn’t in metal anymore. Believe it or not I will be debuting as a pop country artist in the near future. Thanks to all the fans and everyone who made my experience in Capture amazing. I am so stoked for you guys to hear what I’m working on. Even if you don’t like country I’m positive that you will appreciate it. Thanks guys."

Slipknot have just posted the following comment on their official site:

"To our Maggots and fans around the world,

It is with great pain but quiet respect, that for personal reasons Joey Jordison and Slipknot are parting ways. We all wish Joey the best in whatever his future holds. We understand that many of you will want to know how and why this has come to be, and we will do our best to respond to these questions in the near future. It is our love for all of you, as well as for the music we create, that spurs us to continue on and move forward with our plans for releasing new material in the next year. We hope that all of you will come to understand this, and we appreciate your continued support while we plan the next phase of the future of Slipknot.

Thank you,
The ‘Knot"

Evergreen Terrace have parted ways with Metal Blade Records.The following statement was said about this;

In 2007 Evergreen Terrace signed to Metal Blade/High Impact Records. We are no longer with the label and would like to thank Tim Lambesis, Mike Faley, Brian Slagel, and everyone at MB for everything they have done for us throughout this journey. It has truly been an honor and a privilege to be a part of such a great team and legendary label. This is not the end of ET. Major news coming soon.

This has got to be an epidemic or something or other because yet another band has decided to part ways and move forward with all new projects. A Beautiful Nightmare and City Under Fire both posted about parting ways and now Pictures In Sound can be added to this list. It's truly sad how difficult the music industry is and can be and what makes musicians come to such a tragedy.

Pictures In Sound went on to release an EP and played a handful of showcases but as I mentioned the band is no more and posted this message on their Facebook page:

"Hey all, this is Dan. I don't really know where to begin so I'll just put it out there: Pictures in Sound is no more. After giving it much thought I've made the choice to move away from Los Angeles and the other guys have decided to do other things - they may post about that here, so keep an eye out!

We had a great time in PiS and want to thank you all for your support and for listening to what we had to share with the world.

We've made the EP free for download on Bandcamp. Thanks again, everyone."

So yet again another band has bitten the dust....

Chicago heavy weights A Beautiful Nightmare released their debut full-length album 'What Have We Done?" and there's no doubt with agreeing with them because the band has posted the following message on their Facebook page:

"We are sad to say that after years of being together, we have decided to go our separate ways. We thank all of you for your support and love. Fear not, this is not the last you will see of each of us. In fact the new projects have already begun or we have joined other projects. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for these projects. ♥ Michael"

You can follow him via his personal Facebook page for upcoming projects! So hence another band has bitten the dust. Go check out the interview I did with them HERE and review I wrote up HERE.
