Cattle Decapitation now that's a name that’s crossed my mind more than once but haven't really heard much of their material except for a few releases let alone, ever seeing them perform there is little to go on for me except that they're a part of the Metal Blade Records family and are about to release their seventh full-length entitled "Monolith of Inhumanity".

This time around the band has taken their music to a whole new level of aggression, determination, and focus to be heard from the inside out. Opening up with "The Carbon Stampede", this tune really packs that powerful punch that these guys have been known for except it unleashes even further more intensity, horrifying, and even extreme circumstances than 2009's "The Harvest Floor" ever did. "Dead Set On Suicide", "Forced Gender Reassignment", "Lifestalker", and "Your Disposal", are all some of the tunes to look out for because their extremeness is heavy flawless material that will burst out from your skeletal system in a micro second.

Cattle Decapitation goes on to say this in regards to this accomplishment of theirs, “The mindset of this band has always been abrasive and balls to the wall, and like a car accident where there’s no fucking stopping it. Throwing melodic vocals or guitar work – or dare we say catchy elements – into that is tantalizing,” says frontman Travis Ryan. While guitarist Josh Elmore says “There can be hooks and catchiness without compromising what the band – or any individual in the band – is all about.” Having these elements at our disposal is just another tool with which we can build the best songs that we can. It was great also having input from Derek (Engemann, bass, who makes his writing and recording debut with this album), who added some new dynamics to some of the songs. We also spent a lot of time thinking about structure on this record, wanting every moment to count, no matter what the tone of it was.”

So in all this is without a doubt a release that Cattle Decapitation fans new and old alike can devour and fall head over heels for.

Today California progressive grind conquerors CATTLE DECAPITATION release Lifestalker, the second single off their new album, Monolith Of Inhumanity! Set for North American release on May 8, 2012, the record was produced by Dave Otero of Denver's Flatline Audio and sees the band exploring innovative new techniques in song writing without abandoning their signature formula of confrontational audio wreckage and self-loathing lyrical content.

Comments singer Travis Ryan: “We just returned from a great European tour where we played a ton of new songs which were received extremely well by everyone over there! So much so that we decided to premiere the second sample track of our new album Monolith Of Inhumanity on a European website for all our fans and the new fans we just made during this last tour! We had a blast and we hope you all get a kick out of the new track ‘Lifestalker.’ This new album is light years ahead of the rest of our albums and we look forward to coming back to Europe to decapitate you all with it!”

Three years have lapsed since the last CATTLE DECAPITATION offering. In that time, the band toured the globe, reaped a legion of new devotees and have now written their most palatable, yet abrasive record to date. Titled Monolith Of Inhumanity, CATTLE DECAPITATION manage yet again to forge another beautiful deathscape that will leave fans of 2009's The Harvest Floor breathless, bloodied and spent.

Monolith Of Inhumanity is CATTLE DECAPITATION’s fifth studio offering on Metal Blade Records. Set for North American release on May 8, 2012, the record was produced by Dave Otero of Denver's Flatline Audio and sees the band exploring innovative new techniques in song writing and general musical progression without abandoning their signature formula of confrontational audio wreckage and self-loathing lyrical content. Artwork was handled by Wes Benscoter. The culmination of Benscoter's unearthly abilities fused with vocalist Travis Ryan's demented views have once again proven to be memorable and fitting for what the music holds in store for the listener.

In addition, CATTLE DECAPITATION have also collaborated with famed pop culture artist Tom Bunk for a very special art project that will be available at the BAND'S WEBSTORE. Tom is best known for his work for the 1980s Garbage Pail Kids trading cards and MAD Magazine, and has created an incredible GPK-inspired CATTLE DECAPITATION trading card set that must be seen to be believed.

Monolith… will further reinforce CATTLE's legacy as one of the most influential and important bands in extreme music. As MetalSucks.net put it: "CATTLE DECAPITATION have the sort of skills that put them squarely at the head of grind's noisy pack."
