THE DARK RED SEED have teamed up with Doomed & Stoned to reveal their new song "Awakening". The song is taken from their forthcoming album "Becomes Awake" which will be released via Prophecy Productions on May 18 2018.

The band commented: "The process of writing this song was born somewhat out of an improvisation with Shawn on drums, our friend Pierre Someville playing Moog and bass and myself on guitars and vocals. It is the only song on the record track at an actually recording studio-Big Snuff Studio in Berlin. The entire track listing of the album is very intentional in the story that it tells and there had been another track in its place that we were never happy with so we took it out and wrote this song in its place. It is meant to be monotonous and hypnotic in away that could invoke a state of trance.  Lyrically and conceptually the words are a journey out of consciousness and a sort of psychedelic trip into the universe or another world.  It represents the unknown; that which can’t be seen or touch but we can sense maybe something is there just out of reach of our sphere of comprehension."

There is always that "one" that "one" album that is indeed without a doubt "the best to date". Surly this can said about Blessthefall's first ever debut LP "His Last Walk" with former frontman Craig Mabbit who brought Blessthefall to the forefront of the music scene before departing to join forces with Escape The Fate in 2008. Blessthefall saw that their time seemed bleak and raw but went onward to release two more albums "Witness" and now their third LP to date "Awakening" seems to fall short of their first release.

The fast grinding guitar structure, powerful heartfelt lyrics, screaming coals are all fun and good filling but the quality that was first used just isn't present. The music is by far decent to say the least but doesn't live up to what was once done. The tracks that tend to stick out the most includes "Promised Ones" and "Bottomfeeder" along with "Bones Crew" and "Till the Death of Me" these are the handful of tunes that truly remain to be catchy and rather upbeat while the remaining tunes lack this factor.

Blessthefall's "Awakening" is indeed decent but tracing back to the past could have been more appealing.

Blessthefall founded in 2003 from Phoenix, Arizona have released several LP's over the course of their career. "His Last Walk" (2007) having former frontman Craig Mabbit now fronting Escape The Fate, Blessthefall went a whole another direction with the 2009 follow-up 'Witness" with new frontman Beau Bokan as of 2008. Since his arrival and Mabbit's departure Blessthefall has moved onward to do relentless touring and of course, writing new material as such their third LP release titled "Awakening" is set for release on October 4, via Fearless Records. This will be the second album to feature brand new vocals Beau Bokan and first album to have brand new guitarist Elliott Gruenberg. "Awakening" was produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette who also worked with Blessthefall on their previous release. Following this release the band will embark on the road touring with labelmates Motionless In White, The Word Alive, and For All Those Sleeping will all be appearing on the Fearless Friends Forever tour with Blessthefall as the headliners.
