Insonika Discusses New Single, Shows and Tours Coming Soon and the Fanbase!

Up and coming band INSONIKA have released two EP's, two album's, and a whole lot of singles, with a new single out this summer! They want to keep releasing music, with some shows and tours to happen soon! The band discusses all of this stuff below!

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Insonika started as a three piece with current singer and guitarist Oscar, bassist Daniel as well as our original drummer Mattias. It started off as a jam project in 2017 that turned into a band and we wrote tons of music and toured extensively. During Covid current rhythm guitarist Sebastian joined, but first on keyboards, after a while we found that guitar and backing vocals/screams suited him better and he switched. He still does keyboards on our recordings. And in 2024 we had to part ways with Mattias and Simon joined the band on drums and now we’ve started our journey towards making music that we love and playing shows that we want to do.

So the lineup is:

Oscar - guitar and vocals
Daniel - bass
Sebastian - synths, guitar and backing vocals
Simon - drums

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

The origin of the band name started with something that Daniel actually heard in a dream. It was a bunch of words but in the midst of those words was Insonika and I (Oscar) immediately reacted and said “that’s pretty damn cool” and that was the name we chose.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you
could recommend?

We are based out of Jönköping, Sweden. The scene here has been dead for quite some time, but it is starting to resurrect with new and young bands flooding the scene! Some local bands that I would recommend are Ravened, OutBound and also Reedon Green. All amazing  musicians and span different genres of music.

4. How would you describe your style?

We have a hard time with this question as we all have such different inspirations that bleed into our music. But I would describe it as an unholy union between Mastodon, Ghost and Porcupine Tree.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

So far in our journey as a band we’ve released two EP's, two albums and in 2025 we’re getting into releasing singles. We’ve released two so far. I think what you can expect from our music is an ever changing mass, but the core always remain an Insonikacore.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Yes! We’re releasing a new single called “Ashes of Certainty” on June 13th 2025!

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We’ve got some shows and tour stuff in the planning stage but nothing is official as of yet!

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

We want to keep making music and build a fanbase that hopefully enjoy what we do and get the message we’re trying to put across. We also want to tour more and more.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

If you want to listen to us you can do it everywhere that you stream music (Spotify, Deezer etc..).
We haven’t anything to buy yet, but we’re looking into getting new merch and that good stuff! When we have it you’ll find it at insonikaband.bandcamp.com.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

As a listener I want you to remember the raw energy that we put into each track. There’s always an emotion coming across that we try to capture in the best way possible. Be that through a heavy riff, dreamy synth line or lyrics.
