Noisecreep is excited to bring you the exclusive premiere of "Blood Moon," the new video from Warbeast. The track comes off the Texas metallers' new album, Destroy, which was released last week via Phil Anselmo's Housecore Records.

The video for "Blood Moon" tells the story of Gnmange, a tormented Werewolf, and his need to exist. The video was directed by Mike Holderbeast of Cement Level Studios NOLA, known for his recent work with Down on their music video for the track "Witchtripper." The video features the acting talents of Warbeast guitarist Scott Shelby, Amber Michelle and Sarah Vaz, and features special effects work by Molly Federline.

Legendary Pantera, Superjoint Ritual and DOWN vocalist PHILIP ANSELMO and Housecore Records thrashers WARBEAST recently announced that they will be releasing a new split album entitled War of the Gargantuas. The split now has an official release date of January 8, 2012 and will include two songs from each artist. This album serves as the first release of any solo work by PHILIP ANSELMO during the span of his nearly 30-year legacy. Also, the two WARBEAST tracks on the split feature former bassist Alan Bovee before his amicable departure from the band. Since then, Dre Karst has joined on bass.

“This split is a glimpse into the future of both my solo project and ultimate thrash metallers WARBEAST. The title of the split is War of The Gargantuas and it is fitting on many levels because of our combined love for the 60's Japanese film of the same name, the power of our combined musical output(s) and our humorous affection that plays out within each of our "Gargantuan" personalities,” states PHILIP ANSELMO. “Both WARBEAST and myself have full length LP's that will be released shortly after this is released, but this split is unique musically. It is a time capsule; a loud pause ‘til we both release our full length products. Enjoy the destruction of music!”

“These two songs we have on War of the Gargantuas were the next level after Krush The Enemy,” states WARBEAST guitarist Scott Shelby. “They've been a staple in our set list for the last two years. These songs are a pure demonstration of our unique Texas thrash metal style.”

Housecore Records thrashers WARBEAST are pleased to announce that they will be supporting Down on their upcoming U.S. tour. The band will join on September 18th in their hometown of Fort Worth, TX and will travel with Down and a rotating line-up of haarp, Pentagram, and others until October 2nd in Charlotte, NC. See below for all current tour dates.

“This is a huge opportunity for WARBEAST. Not only are we thrilled to unleash our sound on Down’s enormous fanbase night after night, but we also get to witness Down performing some of their incredible new material live several times in a row,” states vocalist Bruce Corbitt. “We are seriously honored to be able to tour with a band that we are all fans of and actually friends with too. I have no doubts that this will be an unforgettable tour for those that are lucky enough to see it.”

WARBEAST began in the early 80’s Texas underground metal scene. Vocalist Bruce Corbitt was the voice of speed metal kings Rigor Mortis, who achieved major label success on Capitol Records in 1988. Other members of the band boast resumes including Gammacide, Demonseed, and more. WARBEAST released their most recent album, Krush the Enemy, in 2010.
