The Los Angeles Murderfest's newest addition of it's "Mini" Murderfest version, which will be taking place this April, during the 22nd through the 24th of 2016. Has given another update via the Facebook page from the creator, planner, organizer Daniel Dismal who has handled the festival since it got started years back which reads;

"What's the hold up on bands, Dan?!" Been hearing that from some people and I just wanted to let every one of you know that I am just waiting for confirmation's from two bands. There's a ton of work that goes behind something like this and since the "Mini-Murder" is being held at a club with limited capacity, I only have so much in the way of budgets, unless I want to charge all you fine folks 50+ bucks per day to get in. If you remember though, the original fest was STACKED and it was always around $30 per day to get in, which was less than most shows at places like the House of Blues etc. Anyways, I am hoping to make initial announcements this week. If I cannot get the bands confirmed, we'll still do this. It will just be a super low-door festival with awesome bands that do understand that there's a vision behind this fest and it's truly not about taxing the fine people in the scene an exuberant amount of scrilla!"

The Los Angeles Murderfest was a metal music festival in Los Angeles County in Southern California. The festival has given several updates since it's re-carnation of coming back with it's sixth edition of the festival. The creator, planner, organizer Daniel Dismal who has handled the festival since it got started years back - has given another update on the festival's Facebook page, saying that a "mini" version of the festival will take place with further details on the main festival as well as follows;

"As we head into 2016 I need to let you all in on the "plans". Venues are hard for me to find because I am picky with how the fans of this music and my baby, the Murderfest are treated. At this point I want to show you all that the fest is still alive so I am planning to have what I will call the "Mini-Murder" at Complex in Glendale. As with the Murderfest, it will be something that is truly bigger than the venue holding the event. The confirmed dates will be Friday April 22nd through Sunday April 24th. I already have 5 bands confirmed for the 3 day event and I will be announcing things as we go. The Mini-Murder will be a side event of the Murderfest but will be an catalyst to keep the festivals spirit alive. As for the full fest, another venue is coming into play for the full fest, but that will have to wait. Until then, mark your calendars, check out Church of the 8th Day's Facebook page and remember, without your support, this fest is nothing."

Expect the return of the official Los Angeles Murderfest soon with this min Murderfest in it's place for now.

"So, I feel an update is in order, especially since people keep spamming the page with ridiculous RayBan offers, loan advertisements and other shit that has NOTHING to do with the fest, the music or the fans. Anyways, I know the suspense has been building and it seems like Murderfest will never come back. It will, when the time and the venue are right. I did find a venue but then it ended up not working out due to the overall venue layout and such. I am in talks with 2 other venues as well as waiting for a new venue to open up which has multiple stages. As those of you whom have talked to me in person know, Murderfest was my baby. I worked tirelessly on it and it was the thing I brought to Los Angeles that brought me the most pride. It was never about money or status for me and once the Knitting Factory shut down I knew the fest might be over. For me, the venue is key to the fest. I want a place that will love and respect the fest just as much as I do. Yes, people got booted from the fest and there were rules at the Knit, but they were all within reason. The Murderfest was something that was bigger that what the Knit could actually hold but I liked it that way. We put together line ups that could do 2-3 times the size of the Knit but we kept it there because they loved the fest and the fans. When that right venue arises, then the fest will rise. DO NOT lose hope though. 6.66 will come, one of these venues has to work but if not, I will continue on my quest to find the proper home for this beast."

The Los Angeles Murderfest was a Los Angeles Country, California festival having various metal musicians perform an all day and night event taking place across 1-3 days at times. The event has gone on hiatus for sometime giving updates since it's mentionable return including most recent being HERE. But one thing is for certain, it's that the festival that has always called Los Angeles it's home turf, is getting closer to coming back to life!

The creator, planner, organizer Daniel Dismal who has handled the festival since it got started years back - has given another update on the festival's Facebook page -

"Been close to 8 months of silence and as you all know, I hinted at something brewing back in February thinking that by September I would have things nailed down. Guess what, September came and went but good things come to those who wait. All I can say is that FINALLY I see why I have been waiting and not getting any real responses from the venues I've been looking at for the Festival, it's because the venue has always been there but it wasn't ready yet. But fear not, in October the new venue will be opened and I am already in talks with them about bringing the fest back to none other than it's hometown, Los Angeles. No Orange County, no San Diego, just where the madness was born. So, soon my friends, soon! Get hyped, LAMF version 6.66 will be coming home to reclaim it's rightful throne as the crusher of Los Angeles."
