Fabp aka Fabpz the Freelancer has come back with another release in this extensive discography at hand this release being an EP titled "For Tha Crown". The EP isn't your typical type of EP as it features 14-tracks of overbearing material, than your average EP range of content, as far as tracks go. Most EP releases contain anywhere from 1-2 tracks if not perhaps 4 or maybe 8 at the maximum. This EP reaching that high rate of 14-tracks is just interesting to say the least. The title track "For Tha Crown", opens up the EP, and is rather a nice cut. The background noise that is the music portion of the actual track, does sound decent enough, whilst the vocalization parts sound just about right.  Following this opener, come other tracks such as "Fly Away Homie", "Pocket Of Money", "Dead And Gone", "She's A Bunny Hopper", "The Old Box", and "So Hot So So", are probably the likely tracks to stand out from all the rest to come off this EP. Each one of these just has the same melody source as the opener had. A tone of beat that has a flow, that never slows, it just keeps up, never messing around. Vocalization again keeps up with the music’s melodies, just enough that everything works together to sound just right enough. All in all really, this EP that is “For Tha Crown”, just makes it an EP release that will keep you intrigued and delighted through and through.

Fabp aka Fabpz the Freelancer has released an all new EP  titled "Classical Rap @ TheRealFabp". Twelve tracks that bring out a more creative side of the hip hop/rapper. Take such tracks as “Gal Ah Nike”, “Yes She Bouncing”, “Dealing With A Clown”, and “Rock Rock On” for instance. These array of tracks, have a uniqueness towards them. Each one being different but slightly similar in sound and set-up. The melodies are rough on the edges, whilst the vocalization is provided in a type of tone, that twists the abilities, with the effects done within them. You can understand them but they are tweaked out that other affects are thrown in to make them sound distorted. It makes the material more rounded and in term’s of styling goes, a tad more creative as well. The rest of the works off this EP “Classical Rap @ TheRealFabp”, is a lot of the same type of styling, having differences ever so slightly, that make it still unique and rather upbeat. It’s how the material works its ways around the music that is playing forth. You get works, that sound just easy going but very catching and upbeat as said prior. Fabp aka Fabpz the Freelancer is an artist of his kind with a persistence with releasing content ever so often, that with each release, the works upon it sound slightly better with said assortment of material works.

Fabp Aka Fabpz the Freelancer has such an assortment of content his most extensive is his release titled "From Then Til' Now 2011-2015" released back in 2015. This mixtape of tracks, contains not just 10 or even 20 tracks of material, but 39 tracks total. All of which being recorded by Fabp Aka Fabpz the Freelancer himself during those years of 2011 through 2015.

Opening up the mixtape is the track titled "Blasting Blasting", which brings forth an idea of what to expect, from this hip hop, rapper, whose work is shall we say decent enough. The track being grounded yet fine, whereas other tracks such as  "Dip It Dung", "Anytime I See", "Come Get It Girl", "I Chat This", "Do It Do It", "Be Strong", "Type of Man", and "Sing On the Mic", are all a mix bag of sorts really.

Each one being different but similar as well. Like take “Dip It Dung” and “Anytime I See”, have similar traits in the sense of styling, but the vocalization is purely different. Same goes for the others like “Come Get It Girl” and “I Chat This”, they have a similarity in the styling ways, of beats and melodies, but the vocals are all different. The tone even sounds not much alike but slightly, due to the time frame given.

As for the others “Do It Do It”, “Be Strong”, “Type of Man”, and “Sing On the Mic”, along with the entirety of the whole mixtape that is “From Then Til’ Now 2011-2015”, as a wholesome truths about it all, it is just built up as this extensive array of content that is is endless at times. You think it wraps up but it keeps going never ending. The material being different yet so much alike, it becomes tiring at time when listening in. But you continue to hear it, because you want to see how it turns out upon each of the many tracks offered off it.

Fabp Aka Fabpz the Freelancer’s releases seem to never disappointment that much, but become content  that can be tamed yet sought out after. In other words, the material has stuff to go off of, that make it listenable and right.

Hardcore hip hop rap artist Fabp or Fabp aka Fabpz the Freelancer, has been around for quite sometime now. Since his formation of this project back in 2003, he has released numerous content, including his most recent works of an album titled "The Internet Sensation", as well as his own company called X-Calade Promotionz. This next year will go where the music he creates takes him next. Fabp goes into talks about his music and anything else that comes to his mind really.


1. First of all, we would like to know about the formation of this project. When and how was it formed? Do you think the name "Fabp aka Fabpz the Freelancer" perfectly describes your music and philosophy?

Yes the name perfectly describes my sound and philosophy because it shows the world that I care to be original and not have the same name like everyone else in the music business. I started its official formation back in 2003.

2. What would you consider Fabp aka Fabpz the Freelancer to be as far as an "act" goes, you being considered as an artist or a band?

Well I do consider and know for fact that Fabp aka Fabpz the Freelancer is a raw undiluted solo rap artist in the world of music.

3. Where did the idea for the actual name Fabp aka Fabpz the Freelancer, come into frame for you?

I had originally had a name of Fabulous P. Then I had decided to make a change because I wanted a name that no one else had. A name that would fit my personality as a flipping gothic artist.

4. When it comes to your actual discography you tend to repeat yourself at the intro to every single one of your tracks off the assorted content, saying "X-Calade Promotionz". Why is there a need to repeat yourself and promote this company so much?

:-) I'm glad that you asked this question because its my station identifier when you hear X-Calade Promotionz at the beginning of every record its me saying be prepared because its gonna be trouble a.k.a. the show is about to start.

5. Speaking of discography, you have an array of material available is an album titled "The Internet Sensation", which is currently out as a 4-track release, is that it, or will further tracks be released to go with it?

Yes "The Internet Sensation" is my new project and it currently has 4 tracks with more plans to add even more tracks to it, so stay tuned.

6. Which of these releases, is your first and your most recent to the last that you would like to disclose?

My first official release is an album called "Wait Til I Come" which is not posted on my site at this time and my most recent to the last is an album called "Sense Outta Nonsense".

7. Do you think the extensive amount of time you have been a musician, has finally paid off as of right now or you have not even reached that level if success as of yet?

As far as me creating and releasing music, yes it as paid off because I have more listeners now than when I first started out as a musician, but as far as super stardom I still have not reached that level as of yet.

8. Can you describe the genre of choice that you decided to play?

Sure my primary genre of choice is Hip Hop Hardcore Rap.

9. Why did you want to play this genre?

Ok for over thirty one years, I've been listen and supporting the genre so it is only right that I put my right foot forward and play the music of my heart beat.

10. Has Fabp aka Fabpz the Freelancer ever played any shows or plan to do so in the future?

Yes the most resent show was in the NYC and yes plans for more shows are in the works.

11. How would you say you differ from other bands and artists on the scene?

Yes I feel my style of music differs from other artists on the scene because I'm not afraid to experiment and release music that is raw and not to bootleg, other artists instrumentals to represent my sound on mix tapes and social media.

12. What does the next year hold for Fabp aka Fabpz the Freelancer?

:-) As far as the next year goes its up to the music I create and where it tells me to go I go.

Fabp aka Fabpz the Freelancer has released another release for himself, this one titled "It's Your Boi Fabulous P.". Just like his previous releases, this one has a variety of similarities, in terms of repeating himself. He promotes his own company X-Calade Promotionz, at the start of every track off this release. Which over time gets a tad annoying, but after that happens the rest of the material offered is rather nice.

Like for instance the opener "Pretty As Pretty Gets", and follow-up track "Beautiful Sight", play off one another quite well. Each one has this tense source of energy that overflows, causing this rift that makes the music more catching for the ears. The other tracks off this album like "Grow My Hair" and "Rocking Away", are again another set of tracks that play together one after the other quite well. The tone of beat the music plays with, makes the progression move nicely. The vocalization you can withstand whilst enjoying the melodies and beats of the music in the background.

A lot of the other remaining tracks to come off "It's Your Boi Fabulous P.", are a mix bag if being either hit or misses pretty much. While that may be the case, that does not mean the material is at all bad. It is good but could be slightly better at times, as if the music had more spunk to it, faster beats it would be more enjoyable.

As for this release as a whole, it is another type of release with content that has variety from it, but it could do better for itself. Fabp aka Fabpz the Freelancer as an artist, is merely put, a decent one that has something to show, knowing there are those willing to listen, they will like what is said and played from this title.

Fabp aka Fabpz the Freelancer's latest album titled "Dirty Lil' Communications", is filled with nothing but repeats literally. Throughout the entirety of this album that consists of 11-tracks, is Fabp aka Fabpz the Freelancer saying the same thing at the intro of every single track. What is it that he says within each intro of the tracks at hand, "X-Calade Promotionz ya man". It really gets old fast as possible. But while this expressional form is said repeatedly, the actual tracks after what has been said are rather nice.

Like "I'm Crying Tears", "No No Way", "Greatest Artists", and "It's Raining". the handful that start off this release, showcase what type of hip hop, rap, underground styling Fabp aka Fabpz the Freelancer has got going on. It's a lot like the other hip hop, rappers, of modern times, but his ways is more of a refresher. He being able to create this melody of senses, that makes the beats more enjoyable, upbeat, and dance worthy. A lot like the rest of the album's offerings such as "Money Gees", "Pretty Blonde Girl", and "Wonderful Leader".

These selections alone, really set the tone and set up for this album as a whole. Whilst these material is upbeat, enjoyable and dance worthy, it does appear to catch on too. The tone of voice that he portrays, makes the music just stand out. The direction of the music just captures this outgoing feeling of energy, that makes it all free and worth wild.

In other words Fabp aka Fabpz the Freelancer's latest album "Dirty Lil Communications", has got some works that will work well in the artists favor. His use of rap and hip hop makes the material more direct and entertaining for the listener in question. His next set of works, if staying along this line of pathway, will keep him noticed for much longer.

Fabp aka Fabpz the Freelancer's latest album is titled "Underground Styling Breeze". Out of the 14-tracks offered off this release, only very few were one's to stick out from it. "Kiss-N-Play", "Cause I'm Lonely", "Smelling My Best", "Pretty To Me Baby" and "Run Ah Train", are probably the only tracks to be worth hearing upon this album. They bring forth this realism for the album. Lyrical context is very upfront, catching, with the music being effective when it needs to be. The rest of the album and its accompanying assortment of tracks, just makes it be a hit or miss chance with its tracks. Upon listening to this album, it sounds so much alike really.

Literally after hearing every single one of the tracks, aside from the few selected already, the whole entirety of the it, is just repetitive, overused, and not as entertaining. It becomes rather boring at times when listening in. The artist Fabp aka Fabpz the Freelancer, is a decent performer, for the most part. But this album just does not cut it as well as it could have been.

Like even hearing the selected tracks mentioned prior, those make the album stand on its own accordance. Those being the sole purpose of this album, they make the album last for as long as possible. Whereas the rest of the material just does not cut it at all.

All in all though, Fabp aka Fabpz the Freelancer's album "Underground Styling Breeze", is an album with material that just lacks or has something there, but could have been so much more thought through. Perhaps his styling will turn over, on the next album or release from him, showcasing something totally different, that will step into something worth hearing. This one just does not seem to please as well as it could have done with its contents featured.

Fabp aka Fabpz The Freelancer has released an all new track titled "I'm Loco I'm Crazy", with accompanying video. The video is nothing too glamour's just very basic. Just as the track itself is pretty much. "I'm Loco I'm Crazy", is hip hop, rap, and gangsta rap mixed together, so if those genres are not your thing then this track may not be either.

The artist Fabp aka Fabpz The Freelancer is not a bad artist, he is actually an internet sensation, except this track "I'm Loco I'm Crazy", just is not cutting it. At least not for me and my usual music listening experiences. While listening to this trio of genres, among others within the genre of similarities have crossed my path, this variation of it, just is not it. The style just lacks in quality, it sounds bland and boring. The melodies and catchiness it should contain does not exist. There is music provided and it does take a notice during its run time but it does not grip you as other sorts of hip hop, rap, or gangsta rap would from another artist or even band.

"I'm Loco I'm Crazy", is just a song for the taking, to listen in on, that being all there is it has to offer. Its source of music that plays forth, just remains there, being listenable but nothing more other than that is given here. Again Fabp aka Fabpz The Freelancer as an artist has skills set, but his other works are more rounded, appealing, and better suited than this track. All in all it is a track with an artist that has something, allowing themselves to grow, just as their music does as well.
