Wednesday 13 never disappoints when it comes to his solo project of the same name. He comes from Charlotte, North Carolina and has been best known for his role in being the frontman for the Murderdolls another major based project as well as several other outlets, Frankenstein Drag Queens from Planet 13, Wednesday 13, Bourbon Crow and most recently Gunfire 76. He's always been a fan to the horror buzz such as horror movie parodies, and TV shows The Munsters and The Addams Family (that being the main source for his "Wednesday" namesake). As such Wednesday 13 has been keeping himself quite busy as of late with the return of the Murderdolls in 2010 and their eight year standstill of wondering if they would ever return they went on to release a follow-up to 2002's "Beyond the Valley of the Murderdolls" titled "Woman and Children Last" going on tour for a brief while soon after.

But while the Murderdolls were apparently dead and gone Wednesday did his thing as a solo artist and after his first LP "Transylvania 90210" in 2005 he went on to release two more LP's "Fang Bang" (2006) "Skeletons" (2008) an EP "Bloodwork" (2008) and a live LP "Fuck It, We'll Do It Live" (2008) then some time substained and the Murderdolls were brought back to life and then Wednesday 13 had written all new material aside from an all new project Gunfire 76, in which saw a remixed album "Re-animated" that was released this past year and then an all new LP "Calling All Corpses".

The album sums up to what Wednesday 13 has been known to create and his love for the horror scene songs like "I Wanna Be Cremated", "Ghoul Of My Dreams", "One Knife Stand", and "Bad At Being Human", these alone set up "Calling All Corpses" easily. In fact "Bad At Being Human" sounds an awful lot like "Bad Things" having the same type of guitar rhythm and drum kick it makes you want to start singing the lyrics to that song rather than this one but either way both songs are quite entertaining nevertheless. "I Wanna Be Cremated", and "Ghoul Of My Dreams", on the other hand both have similar traits having heavy riffs and creepy lyrics make these tunes very catchy and upbeat. "One Knife Stand", has a mellower set back having a 50's era rhythm set to it keeping an old school rock n' roll type of beat.

Overall Wednesday 13’s “Calling All Corpses”, lives up to his previous releases being more freaky but fabulous.

Wednesday's first full-length studio album since 2008's Bloodwork is scheduled for release on October 11th, and now the artwork by D.A. Frizell – whose credits also include the creepy cover to Avenged Sevenfold's Nightmare and Sevendust's Cold Day Memory can be seen below. The album is being mastered by Tom Baker (no, not the dude from Dr. Who), whose studio credits include Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson.
