Formed in 2012, Gdynia, Poland's raw black metal act Mystic Rites are unleashing their new EP "Threads" on March 31st, 2018 . The EP will contain two tracks , total clocking in at 18 minutes. Now the band has posted a video trailer online found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Atxb3l4bRPM.

Krzysztof "Nebiros" Domański comments,"We’ve gone a step further with the new record in terms of musical maturity compared to our previous releases, as we wanted to free the music from the chains of schematic compositions and riffs that one might expect us to play. While there is certainly a link in the sound to what we've done before, and the musical tributes to the early 90's is still largely there,
we’ve gone to great lenghts to make this offering as uncompromising and authentic as possible."

On "Into Dark Science", Phantom Winter return with more brute force than ever. After "CVLT" (2015) and "Sundown Pleasures" (2016) they now follow up. With their third full-length Phantom Winter found a new language to express extreme heaviness, where other bands from the same genre already resigned. They channel depression, anger and severity on an authentic manner that goes it`s own way regarding vehemence.

The record contains six songs about your inner monsters, retaliating ogres and the omnipresence of darkness that we all carry within us. "It is a journey through the dark worlds of authors Sylvia Plath and Mary Shelley. Into Dark Science is a way to accept and channel my inner demons to create something worthwhile and productive" says Andreas Schmittfull who is the mind of Phantom Winter. Six chapters which tell a story of a being who lives in a world which keeps most people paralysed.

Emotional brutalness combined with a gigantic and back-breaking mix of low-tuned atmosphere and riff-orientated brutality in symbiosis with pounding and sometimes cyclic drumming which takes the audience further into a maelstrom. Just now this gloominess reflects in the arcane and mysterious design by Hummel Grafik who is once again responsible for the artwork.

Musical polymath Jonny Polonsky is back with a new album titled "Fresh Flesh", an ambitious collection of mesmerizing songs that push the boundaries of ambient rock n’ roll. Imposing limits of simplicity on the song structures helped his band to create vibrant first takes on songs about love, sex, death and power, according to Polonsky.

Influences like Joy Division, the Cure and Siouxsie and the Banshees collided with glam, 90s rock and punk; the sounds on the album are a synthesis of the same, without sounding exactly like any of them. The album comes out January 19, 2018 on Sound Science Industries. February 9th, they’ll celebrate the release with a full band show at Hotel Cafe, they hit the stage at 9pm.

20 years ago, DARK TRANQUILLITY released their first album and till this day, D.T. is considered one of the most viable and important bands within the scene they helped define. Melodic death metal fans from across the word will be ecstatic to learn that their 10th full length, entitled Construct, will be released on May 27th in Europe and May 28th in North America. The band is now ready to reveal the track-listing as well as the cover art, which perfectly catches the spirit of the new masterpiece by one of Gothenburg's finest. Construct will also feature artwork throughout by the band's own guitarist, Niklas Sundin.



DARK TRANQUILLITY has this to say about Construct:

"The selected few people that so far have been granted the privilege of hearing the full album are uniformingly convinced that 'Construct' is the strongest and most exciting D.T. album in a long time, and who are we to disagree? While still bearing the unmistakable mark of the dark tranquillity, the record is probably our most different and diverse offering since 1999's 'Projector'. For now, we're pleased to share the track-list, trailer and sleeve design with you, but the first musical preview will appear in the near future."
