Agonia Records is proud to welcome the American atmospheric black metal band ABIGAIL WILLIAMS to its roster. The band is currently working on a new album, follow-up to 2019's "Walk Beyond the Dark".

"I am thrilled to announce that Abigail Williams has signed with Agonia Records for our upcoming album release," comments Ken Sorceron, the founding member and driving force behind ABIGAIL WILLIAMS. "The team at Agonia Records has shown tremendous enthusiasm and support for our music, and we feel confident that they will help us take our music to the next level. We can't wait to unleash our new album upon the world, and we are grateful to have Agonia Records by our side for this journey."

Nearing its 20th year of existence (having been formed in 2004), ABIGAIL WILLIAMS has upgraded its formula to a quartet, comprising Ken Sorceron (ex-Aborted, ex-The Faceless, Vale Of Pnath) on vocals and guitars, Vance Valenzuela (Vale Of Pnath) on guitars, John Porada (ex-Nachtmystium, ex-Wolvhammer) on bass and Gabe Seeber (Decrepit Birth) on drums. With Sorceron retaining his leading role, the band intends to continue its evolution and expand on its unique and intensive sound, forged throughout five studio albums, and anchored in black metal with shades of death metal & symphonic metal.

ABIGAIL WILLIAMS' drive to create dark and powerful music debuted on the album "In the Shadow of a Thousand Suns" (2008), released on Cadlelight Records, who served as the band's label for the majority of its career (excluding 2019's "Walk Beyond the Dark", released on Blood Music). Their early style encompassed metalcore and symphonic black metal, and underwent its first overhaul in 2010, on "In the Absence of Light". The installment saw the band drift towards more traditional black metal, but it wasn't until "Becoming" (2012) the group unlocked its true potential, and laid foundations for its future sound. Through "The Accuser" (2015) and the last album, "Walk Beyond the Dark", ABIGAIL WILLIAMS evolved significantly and dove deep into exploring new sonic perspectives, both powerful and emotionally charged.

The band is known for its intensive live act, and was last seen on stage throughout the North American Devastation of the Nation tour 2022, where it played in support of Rotting Christ and Borkanagar.

ABIGAIL WILLIAMS has taken its name after a girl whose false accusations ignited the Salem Witch Trials of 1692. The band's logo was crafted by Christophe Szpajdel (Emperor, Moonspell, Borknagar).

Virginia Beach, VA's ARSIS, a standout in the technical, melodic death metal genre, has signed a worldwide record deal with Agonia Records, excluding North, South and Central America, in which the band will be released by Nuclear Blast Records. ARSIS has entered Audio Hammer Studio in Florida in late 2017 with producer Mark Lewis (Whitechapel, Devildriver, Cannibal Corpse) to begin work on their 6th studio album, follow-up to "Unwelcome" (2013).

ARSIS co-founder James Malone (central figure in the picture) commented: “We are really excited to have found a label partner outside of the Americas. Agonia works with some great bands and we are pleased to be working with them moving forward. We look forward to reaching some new ground with a new record in 2018. Stay tuned for details".

American, legendary, technical, metal pioneers ATHEIST have signed a worldwide record deal with the European based label, Agonia Records. The band is expected to release a new studio album, the follow-up to 2010's critically acclaimed "Jupiter" in mid to late 2018.

Band co-founder & vocalist/songwriter Kelly Shaefer commented: "2018 will mark our 30th year of making records. Atheist will embark on a very important album with an important new label along with a great team behind us, including Extreme Management Group. I feel confident that together, and with their anticipated dedication to bringing Atheist to a new level, the band will be poised for a crushing, new record! We cannot wait to begin this new chapter".

Agonia Records commented: "We're beyond excited to welcome Atheist to our roster. This is a band of extreme talent and bold creativity, a band lauded for their invaluable contribution to the death metal genre. They've been there in the early years and paved the way for countless acts playing progressive/technical death metal nowadays. We feel honoured to help them pave the way for next generations to come".

Spawned in March 2006 by members of Centinex, the band preserves the flame of sheer, traditional death metal with a suitable dose of melodiousness and a damaging portion of unbound darnkess and utter brutality. Paving the way for a new release, founder and bassist Martin Schulman commented:

"We are genuinely thrilled to announce that Demonical have signed a new worldwide record deal with Agonia Records. I have already experienced the pleasure working with Agonia as they released the latest album from Centinex, so when the label approached me about signing Demonical as well it didn’t take me long to make my decision. I’m confident that Agonia’s potential, dedication and strong business knowledge will push Demonical into new heights and be a solid step forward for us on the path to utter death metal darkness".

 He further added:

"I would hereby also like to thank the entire Cyclone Empire crew for all the past years and for bringing us where we are today. Your support will not be forgotten".

With four full-length albums having climbed high at reader-polls in several magazines, international tours and festival exclusives, DEOMINCAL will strike again in 2015.
