Fighting Giants Say Loads About Themselves Involving Music and More!

Modernized rockers FIGHTING GIANTS have their self-titled album out and about, with all new material in the works currently, with an expected release in 2021! But besides from that, the band will be playing a handful of shows over the next several months, with much more else in the works too! Find out what else the band had to say about themselves below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Comprising of 5 friends In the local Tallahassee Scene, Richard, David, Jeff, Bofa, and John have been in multiple bands together throughout the years. notably: 86 the Earth, Inside The Nine, and Breaking the Machine. Coming together in early 2019 with the sole purpose to have as much fun as possible while still able to perform.

2.Whats the origin of the band name?

Originally we had set to go with the name "Thea Collision" we were almost sold on it except that we had several opinions of the pronunciation of the word "Thea" lol, so one day a friend in another local band referenced a term "Throwing Giants" as a name option, and that quickly evolved to Fighting Giants.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? are there any local bands you would recommend?

We're based out of Tallahassee Fl. and the scene here is a very tight close knit family of bands. our album features guest vocals on track 2 by our good friend and former band member of 86 the earth and IT9, Curt Rogers who fronts Tallahassee's "Defy the Tyrant". They just signed with Pavement Records this past week. other notable acts here in town are metal acts: Carrion Curse, This Dying Breed, Despite the Irony, and country acts like Tobacco rd. Band. our members also have other projects they're involved with locally. David also sings for "Rising Up Angry" out of Orlando Area, John drums for "Carrion Curse" and Richard is involved with two other projects: an acoustic two Piece with a local country singer "SoloCupp" and an "Un-named" project" with a local film-maker (Ash Von Chamier) that will feature many yet unrevealed Musicians and vocalists from the eastern states.

4. How would you describe your style?

We're a mix of hard rock and metal. we just love to play music that makes us move and makes folks in the crowd move, we strive to be high energy and positive with our overall tone and performance.

5. What have you release so far and what can someone expect from your works?

So far we have released an 8 song album recorded with Brett Hestla at BHP, avail. at www.cdbaby.com/cd/fightinggiants1. We have shot a music  video with Ash Von Chamier for our songs: "On the Surface" and "Unravel[Tape-9]" this is a 20 min. music video short film sort of "Visual EP" that sparked the side project with Richard and Ash (another local musician ads well) which will be an EP written  for a visual experience: https://youtu.be/zpRbVBn354A.

6. Do you have any new music on the works?

Yes, currently we are working on our next round of songs to record and track at BHP for a release in 2021.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We're currently set to play a hand full of shows around the Florida panhandle over the next several months. with some really big ones yet announced later this year. while there have been a few tour offers, we are not planning to tour at this time.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Currently we're just pushing the envelope with our live performance and having fun along the way. We cant give away much more than that!
