LUNA DIVINER Discusses Debut Single, Gaining an Online Presence with the Possibliity Being Endless!

Very loud rock band LUNA DIVINER have taken the time to discuss with us their time together, how they came together, recent debut single release, and what the future holds.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or did it come out just like that?

So our band name is actually a reference to my favorite video game of all time, Kingdom Hearts.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I grew up in a band playing similar music so it’s really what came natural. I wouldn’t say that we have just one genre as we like to experiment whenever possible.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes we were all in different bands at one point but part of the same local music scene.

4. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

Our band is mostly based out of Houston Texas where there is a well of local music. Sunrise and Ammunition, Kill the Process, pacmanthemovie to name a few.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Our music is inspired by life experiences that might be relatable.

6. What are your songs about? (What specific themes do they cover?)

Our debut single “Screens” is a sonic exploration of existentialism and the saddening obsessions we have with our phones.

7. Do you write your own songs? (Discuss the songwriting process in detail.)

Yes, I usually start with bass and drums, depending on the song. I don’t think the process has been the same for any two songs to be completely honest.

8. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

Last month we released our debut single. You can always expect driving rhythms and stacked vocal harmonies from us.

9. Do you have any new music in the works?

Yes we’re currently working with our buddy Jimmy Nieto at Southwing Audio on a few more songs.

10. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

At the moment we are not performing live. We’re focusing more on recording an online presence for now.

11. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

I’d like for us to eventually tour and continue to record music. Possibly some music videos as well.

12. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

So our music is available on all streaming platforms. I’d suggest Apple Music or tidal as they’re not as problematic as Spotify.
