Witches Ride Discussed Debut Album, Singles, Upcoming Show and Even Touring Plans!

 

Heavy metal rock band WITCHES RIDE have a couple of single's out, with a debut album out as well. They are also back to writing all new music which will be out eventually. For now, the plan is to release more music, play some shows, and go on tour come this next year! The band discussed all of this below just with us!

 

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or did it come out just like that?

Our singer was actually starting a ladies Moto clothing brand and we took the name for the band instead. 

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We are all liked minded when it comes to music that walks a darker line. I feel like our sound is an homage to the original sounds of Black Sabbath.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We had a lot of mutual friends in common that lead each other to meet. A couple of our members have played in other bands together. 

4. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are based in and around Los Angles, Ca. We like local bands such as Cake Eater, The Hazards, Non-Terrestrial, Enemy Proof, and Rundown Creeps. 

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We have a ton of influences, I'd say our biggest is Korn, The Doors, Marylin Manson, and Siouxsie and the Banshees. 

6. What are your songs about? (What specific themes do they cover?)

The subject of our most recent album is a story about a preacher that loses his followers and sells his soul to the devil to get them back. 

7. Do you write your own songs? (Discuss the songwriting process in detail.)

We collectively write together. The writing process typically starts with Mikey, our guitar player coming up with a new riff, and it grows from there. We encourage each other to add our own style into each song. 

8. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have a couple singles on Spotify like Among the Crowd, and our Cover of Mad World. We also just released our full length album called Collector. All music can be found on all streaming platforms, and for sale at loadedbombmedia.com.

9. Do you have any new music in the works?

We are back to writing, but it will be a while before a new release. 

10. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We have shows booked through the end of the year and plan on going on a huge tour first of next year. 

11. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

To play our music all over the world.
