The Fall of Me Talks of Current Works and the Future Ahead!

Little bit of everything band THE FALL OF ME began just in the summer of 2021. Since they have released an EP, with them set to start work upon their debut album. The band talks of content and the future.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

The Fall of Me has been a band since May of 2021. It started with Chelsea (Vocals) and Paul (Guitar) meeting up to rehearse covers for a charity event in their area. Paul shared some riffs and a song was “accidentally” written. That song was entitled, “The Fall of Me”. Once the song was written, Chelsea and Paul realized there was potential and Donny (Bass Guitar) joined the duo by recommendation of Paul. The 3 got to work right away creating not only music, but an entire concept band. “We each play characters when we perform and are not our real selves.”

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

When Donny joined, Chelsea and Paul had written two songs, “The Fall of Me” and “Rain”. The three sat down to discuss potential names and the original song title kept sticking out. We felt it went well with our moody and dark style of writing, so “The Fall of Me’ became our official name.

3. Is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there?

We are based in the Pittsburgh area. More specifically an hour south in a town called Uniontown. There is definitely a music scene, but covid hit it pretty hard. The bands are typically rock or country cover bands. But there are some fantastic original groups as well! In fact, Chelsea used to host a local TV show through Armstrong Cable called “Music Talks” where she interviewed local bands and musicians. If you look up the show on YouTube you can find all the episodes.

4. How would you describe your style?

Our style is dark, and melodic paired with heavy guitar riffs, solid bass lines, and a bit of classical operatic influences sprinkled in here and there.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have released a 6 song, self titled EP. Our listeners can expect catchy choruses both vocally and instrumentally. Each song tells its own story. In fact, certain songs tell our character back stories. “Fall” is Paul’s song before becoming Locrian. “Rain” is Donny’s before becoming Abaddon. “The Fall of Me” is Chelsea’s before becoming Ariach. And lastly, “Parasite” tells the story of how we became possessed. Be sure to check the Music Video!

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

We plan to begin writing our concept album in a few weeks. But for now we’re concentrating on a cover song that we plan to record at the end of April.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Ughhhh playing out and touring…..we have been dying to play a live show and would love to tour. The reason we cannot….we do not have a drummer! We have struggled from the beginning to find the right drummer. We didn’t want to waste time, so we hired a session drummer for the EP. We are actively searching for our 4th and final member.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Our plans are to find a drummer, play live shows, begin writing the concept album, and hopefully begin touring within the next two years.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

We are on all major streaming platforms and we have two music videos on YouTube, “Parasite” and “Fall”. (More to come) We also have a website, www.thefallofmeofficial.com as well as the standard FB, insta, and TikTok pages.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

We want our music to make you feel something. Whether that be through the instrumentation, the lyrics, or the vocals. We hope to create music that is both beautiful and dark. Something that leaves the listener coming back for me.
