Relentless Souls Talks of Current Events and New Music!

Having taken the local scene by storm as it were, RELENTLESS SOULS has been around since 2015. Releasing a debut album "Crowd Control", blending together that metalcore, heavy metal, and early 2000's rock n' roll to create a genre that is their own creation. The band is currently hard at work upon their follow-up album expected soon! For now though, the band goes on talking more or less about the current events and what plans are ahead of them.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Relentless Souls started as a small project while our vocalist Tyler Adams was still in high school, in the first few years we spent a lot of time finding a solid identity due to the various backgrounds of our members. After some time and a handful of lineup changes we have found the individuals that truly embody who we are as a collective; Tyler Adams on vocals, Mike Mastrandrea on lead guitar, Cody Marzec on rhythm guitar, and the accomplished Sean Levey on drums.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

‘Relentless Souls’ is supposed to symbolize who we all are as individuals, we are just five guys trying to push relentlessly toward our dreams, we just hope that this message can one day help inspire others to do the same.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

The band is currently based around Baltimore, Maryland, (our hometown is Ellicott CIty) the scene here is fairly challenging in the rock/metal industry, there’s just not as many bands as there are in some other parts of the country. However we would highly recommend our good friends Echo 2 Locate, Outlet, and After the Broken, all of whom played with us during our 2 day stint playing with Diamante in November.

4. How would you describe your style?

We have managed to combine our eclectic music tastes into a signature blend of hard rock, heavy metal, and metalcore.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

Our first full length album ‘Crowd Control’ is available on all major streaming platforms worldwide, there’s something on that album for everyone; melodic ballads, heavy hitting rock songs, and metal riffs that make you want to start a pit in your kitchen.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

We are currently in the process of writing our second full-length album, more details will be coming soon!

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Unfortunately most shows have been canceled or postponed due to the Covid-19 outbreak, however if everything is smooth sailing from here we are set to play Dr. Chill Fest 2020 in Baltimore, Maryland with Framing Hanley and Charm City Devils

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Playing out of state more, and focusing on extending our regional, national, and international reach.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

Spotify, YouTube, or any streaming service, our album is also available for purchase on Google Play, and Apple Music.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

Listen to the lyrics, every song holds a story to be told and it’s something that we take deep pride in as a group. Musicians are people just like everyone else, so if there’s anything you should ever take away from music as a whole, is the stories they weave.
