Days To Come Talks of New Single and Growing As Artists

Pop progressive rockers Days To Come released a debut EP "Subsist The Art Of Survival" in 2016 with a follow-up release of a new single called "Siren" out this year in 2019. The band got together to talk of this single, the EP, and how they came together and continue to grow as artists.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and it’s members.

Justin: The band officially formed in 2014. I met Brandon at a local music store one afternoon before a gig and we hit it off pretty quickly. Jalen joined us in early 2018. We’ve had a few lineup changes over the years but we feel pretty confident in the team we currently have.

2. What’s the origin of the bands name?

Justin: I thought of the name Days To Come one day while I was at my day job. I was frustrated because we had all of the pieces to form a band except for a drummer and it is always so difficult finding a drummer! I knew that we would eventually find one and everything would work out in the future, but that moment of frustration gave birth to the name.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

Justin: The band is based out of Albany, Georgia and our local music scene seems dominated by country and rap. There are great rock/metal bands, but we're definitely in the minority. We would definitely recommend the bands on our booking agency’s roster. You can check them out at blindanxietyentertainment.com. They work with bands like Lydia Can’t Breathe, A Light Divided, Kelen Heller, and 7 Stone Riot.

4. How would you describe your style?

Brandon: We're continually developing and working towards what "Days To Come" sounds like, but I want to be able to say that we have pop styled, catchy vocal melodies layered with intricate music supporting it. Basically pop-prog.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

Brandon: We released our first EP, "Subsist | The Art Of Survival", in 2016 and we’re releasing our next single (Siren) this January (2019). We’re always growing as artists. We’re constantly trying to implement new and creative ideas into our music.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Brandon: We do! Our latest release is our new single "Siren" (out Friday, January 25th). We’re continually developing and expanding on what the Days To Come "sound" is and, when we were working on "Siren", everything clicked. We knew that the feel of "Siren" was what we were after and what we would continue to chase in future songs. "Siren" is punchy, melodic, musical, and memorable. We hope that our fans enjoy it!

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Jalen: Yes! We’ve got a few short runs over the next few months and we’ve got a longer tour planned for July. We’re confirmed to play a major festival in July and we CAN’T wait to let our fans know where.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Justin: We’re excited to release our next single, "Siren", as well as our first music video. We recently partnered with management company Crown Artist Development & indie label From The Depths Entertainment & we’re so excited for 2019. This year is gonna be a big year for us & we can’t wait to share it with you!

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

Jalen: We’re on all of the social sites as @daystocomemusic. You can listen to our music on iTunes, Spotify, Youtube, etc. You can find our merch on our website - daystocomemusic.com.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

Jalen: I want the listener to understand that each of our songs can be interpreted differently and that the same song can help through several emotions.
