Equipment:

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28

The camera I use when photographing bands, people, and nature, whatever floats your boat is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28. It has a 10-megapixel CCD captures enough detail for photo-quality poster-size prints. As well as a 18x wide-angle MEGA Optical Image Stabilized zoom lens, with a2.7-inch high-resolution LCD screen; with HD video capture impacted. The full SLR-like manual operations includes aperture, shutter, program and full manual modes with the Advanced Scene mode options. Captured imagines are transferred to the SC/SC/HC 16GB memory card that I have chosen to use.

JVC Everio MS120 Dual Flash Camcorder

The video camera I use when conducting interviews is the JVC Everio MS120 Dual Flash Camcorder. Its 40X Dynamic zoom feature comes with a Konica Minolta lens. With a laser-touch operation with sub-trigger and zoom option, also if need be a one touch upload option that will directly send that video straight onto Youtube. To capture the video I use 2 SD/SDHC memory cards 8GB each.

Olympus WS-700M Digital Voice Recorder

When I conduct my interviews in-person and over the phone I use the Olympus WS-700M Digital Voice Recorder. It's 4GB of internal memory gives you more than 1,000 hours of recording time. For even more storage, the WS-700 supports up to a 16GB microSD card. The record and play back function can be placed in three different types of formats, MP3, WMA, and PCM. A 25 hour battery life with rechargable battery. The USB makes it a snap to transfer files to and from the device. LCD, built in microphone, 200 file storage, this little recorder can handle anything and everything all in one shot.

TP-7 Telephone Pick-up

The TP-7 telephone pickup, makes phone recording easy and even picks up both sides of the conversation. Just plug the TP-7 jack into the "MIC" jack of your recorder, and put the earphone side into your ear. When in use, the TP-7 will capture both sides of the conversation. For added convenience, the TP-7 works great with land lines and cell phones.
