J. Wise Chats About Music!

J. WISE has been around for quite sometime, releasing content including some recent releases called "Stories" and "Tears". Plans are in the works to perform live, with more music coming in as well. Find out what is said in the chat below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your music.

I have been creating music for more than ten years. In the beginning, I had been producing songs, but after a while, I realized that writing songs came easy to me, so I decided that it is time. At first, I was creating electronic music but realized that it’s not something I would listen to, and it is not me. I decided to form a band. I knew that is what I want to do for the rest of my life. At this time I already finished recording my first solo album at my studio at home, but then something horrible happened. My apartment was robbed, and I lost all the material, plus around 130 songs I made over the years. I needed to start over so I formed a new band with my friends,  now known as The Suns. I never gave up on my dream and I knew I need to make a solo album. I’ve been so focused on the project, I have been creating music literally every day for more than a year, and I loved every second of it! The rest is history.

2. What’s the origin of the projects name?

The album is called "STORIES", simply because all of the songs are based on my life and real-life stories. My emotions, my ups and downs, and my love. This was my aim, to be myself and to give myself as I am, a simple man full of compassion, love, and pain, on his journey to understand life.

3. Where are you based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

To be honest, I am not listening to Polish music for some time now (the only ones I am listening to have passed away many years ago), there are some big names, but I think that they are singing in Polish language, so you might have a problem understanding the message they try to spread. But definitely there is plenty of very talented musicians here.

4. How would you describe your style?

Simple. Real. Emotional.

5. Tell us about your recent release and what someone can expect from your works?

"Tears" is a note to a lover. An existential song about fighting one’s own weaknesses and a call for self-acceptance and empathy. Concentrating on close and sometimes painful self-examination, it remains hopeful and coveys a willingness to live and take on life’s new challenges. You can expect a big portion of real emotions, from a simple man. It doesn’t get better than that.

6.  Are you working on new material?

The album "STORIES" is ready, so far I released the first single, but I already have material for a new album, so you will be hearing from me again soon.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

At this point I am slowly getting ready to perform live, gathering the opportunities, and revealing my options.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

The plan is to play and create (I would love to play joined concerts, as J.Wise & The Suns, combined emotional music and rock and roll, that would be something). To love every second of it. We have only one life, to make it right.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can listen to my music on every streaming platform.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

That love and well being are the only things that matter. So stop what you’re doing and go make that call.
