Get Scared's frontman Nicholas Matthews has decided to move on from Get Scared and pursue other outlets. The band is heartbroken and hurts to tell their fans this sadden news but wish the best for Nicholas in whatever he does. The band said this in regards to this matter;

"We regret to inform you that (Nicholas Blake Matthews) has decided, his time with Get Scared has run out. This is so hard for us to announce, However this was not a decision made against Nicholas's wishes nor was he kicked out by any means. Nicholas felt Get Scared was no longer what he wanted to pursue and has moved on musically. Once again, This is so hard for us to announce. We are all still shaken up by it, there is no preparing for a loss as great as this. Although this was a shock to the entire band, Nicholas and Get Scared absolutely have no bad blood towards one another. Nicholas will forever be apart of the Get Scared family and we all look forward to his un doubtful success as a musician.

With having said that, Get Scared will continue rock'n on! We are currently working on new material and couldn't be more proud/excited of the new songs. We can't wait to share them with all of you! Unfortunately, any winter touring plans Get Scared had prior, will be postponed until further notice.

At this time we do not have any announcements of a new singer. But, We will be holding auditions via video submission. We feel that we should give our fans an equal opportunity to become Get Scared's new singer as we would to a professional singer. Who better to give a chance to than the very people who gave us life, our fans

Get Scared loves you unconditionally, and we look forward to sharing the future with all of you! We will be posting many updates to keep you current with our plans."

Evergreen Terrace has recently announced that they will be playing a string of dates across Florida with several other Florida-based bands in tow. Florida is passed over by a lot of tours, so the band decided to play shows specifically for their home state fans!

Guitarist Josh James explains further: "It's strange to think that even though we tour 9 months out of the year we rarely get to play Florida. This state has a great scene, amazing bands and mostly importantly it's our home. In early December we will head out for a weekend trip with our friends Casey Jones and Boys No Good to explore some of these scenes and to catch some great local bands. Later in the month we will be participating in Jack Rabbit's infamous 12 Days of Christmas event in Jacksonville. It's been almost a year since we've played our hometown. The show has an amazing lineup featuring Kids Like Us, His Name Was Iron, a rad band from Tallahassee called Livid and a new local Jacksonville band called Atlas. Remember, the best way to support your scene is by attending local shows and supporting not only touring bands but local ones as well. We look forward to seeing old and new faces at these shows and closing out 2011 in a memorable way."

All-American anthemic rockers Drowning Pool announced today that they will be parting ways with their current singer, Ryan McCombs. The hard working Texas band, who has worked with 3 singers in their 10 year career, issued the following statement:

"We have always been a band who has gained success despite having multiple singers...maybe we suffer from reverse 'lead singer's disease," said C.J. Pierce. "Changing things up has not always been easy, but the band has become re-energized time and time again. We are looking to find a new singer who will give both us and, and most importantly our fans, the new adrenaline shot they deserve." He went on to say, "We do wish Ryan great success in his future endeavors." McCombs, who had been part of the band since 2006, replaced singer Jason Jones, who joined Drowning Pool following the tragic passing of Dave Williams.

Drowning Pool turned the world into believers with their breakthrough single "Bodies" in 2001. Ten years, three singers and four albums later, they're giving fans a new reason to believe. "Feel Like I Do," the lead single from their self-titled fourth studio release [Eleven Seven Music], became the band's biggest radio hit to date, reaching No. 2 at Active Rock Radio, and remaining in the Top 5 for 12-weeks. With 2009's "37 Stitches" off of Full Circle reaching #4 at Active Rock and "Feel Like I Do," the band had 2 consecutive Top 5 Active Rock smashes and cemented their place as one of the top hard rock acts today. The band's sophomore album, Desensitized with second singer Jason Jones spawned a Top 10 hit with "Step Up." Recent successes have paved the way for unique opportunities such as presenting the Lane Evans Mental Health Care Reform to then-senator Barack Obama on Capitol Hill, performing for our troops all over the world and partnering with organizations like The Wounded Warrior Project and the G.I. Film Festival.

Drowning Pool is currently looking to find a suitable replacement for McCombs. In the meantime, they have already begun writing their 5th studio album in their hometown of Dallas.

Some bands truly defy the odds of innovation spinning the wheels of creativity to venture into previously unchartered waters without any hesitancy with only one objective in mind: uninhibited artistic creativity and open mindedness. This sentiment perfectly describes DEAD LETTER CIRCUS who released their stunning debut effort, This Is The Warning, in North America on July 26th. Never content to settle for mediocrity or banality, this Australian sensation set out from the start to establish a fresh sound that pushed the boundaries of alternative rock that quickly captivated the
masses.

DEAD LETTER CIRCUS will make their much anticipated return to North America with Fair To Midland on Dec. 1st so be sure to either see below or head over now to their Facebook page to view all upcoming tourdates, stream new tracks, view new promotional videos and get an inside visual tour into the making of this stunning debut effort.

If you unfortunately missed their North American touring debut this July alongside Animals As Leaders, now is your chance to make up for it.

Norma Jean are writing new material for their next album entering the studio with producer Jeremy Griffin who's worked with Underoath in the New Year to begin recording. Vocalist Cory Brandan says "After making ‘Meridonal,’ we really didn’t know what we were going to do next. It’s hard to imagine that after coming out of so much work and thought being poured into something, but we’re starting to see this new record take shape and all I can say right now is it’s going to be nasty. If anything, ’Meridional’ ended up inspiring us to continue moving forward and doing what we love to do. We also moved our writing space out of Atlanta this time for a new atmosphere where I live in Arkansas. We isolated ourselves a lot more and spent a lot of time together. We’ll continue working and will be recording in January with Jeremy Griffith again. We’re really excited and are having a blast.” Don't forget to check them out on their 2011 U.S. and 2012 European Tour!

Asking Alexandria's brand new remix album "Step Up & Scratched" was released this past week and has already rose up the charts on iTunes snatching up the #1 slot under the electronic album chart. Celldweller remixed the track "A Lesson Never Learned" which you can listen to HERE. You can purchase the album via iTunes HERE.

Chris Vrenna, the Grammy-Award-winning musician and producer who was most recently the drummer/keyboardist for MARILYN MANSON, has left the band to focus on his growing film and video game scoring, production career and DJ outings as well as work on the forthcoming 2012 TWEAKER release.

"I'm incredibly proud of the work I did with MANSON and look forward to the release of [the new MARILYN MANSON album] 'Born Villain'. I wish my brothers well, but with the recording largely completed, I felt it was time to return to other facets of my career, which involves production work, film scoring, and future musical collaborations," explained Vrenna.

Vrenna rose to prominence in the early '90s as a full-time member of NINE INCH NAILS, having been a permanent member of Trent Reznor's band since NINE INCH NAILS' inception and for the following eight years. His production and programming credits include the aforementioned NINE INCH NAILS, SMASHING PUMPKINS, MARILYN MANSON, GUNS N' ROSES and most recently work on EVANESCENCE's self-titled 2011 album. Vrenna is also a sought after remixer working on tracks by U2, NELLY FURTADO, RAMMSTEIN and SLIPKNOT.

Legendary Swedish Viking/death metal master, Unleashed, has posted an update from Chrome Studios in Sweden where the band has finished recording its upcoming album. Johnny Hedlund (bass/vocals) commented, “We are now ready with most of the recording, final vocals were done last week and we are very satisfied so far. We will now spend some real time on mixing this and creating a crushing sound. Anders just asked me if this might be the fastest unleashed album to date. I'm not sure but it's likely close anyhow.” The upcoming album was produced by Unleashed guitar player, Fredrik Folkare, and will see a spring 2012 release on Nuclear Blast Records.

German modern metallers DEADLOCK have issued the following update:

"After having recently announced the departure of our singer Johannes Prem, we're now officially introducing the new lineup to you!

"For the new guy behind the microphone we found a band-internal solution with John Gahlert, who raped the bass so far. As you might know, he already helped out a couple of times, when Joe was not able to play and he proofed his vocal qualities very well.

"The vacant position on the bass is taking over our longtime friend Ferdinand Rewicki, who joined us on several tours as driver, merch guy or tour mananger. For us it was no question that Ferdinand is the perfect addition for DEADLOCK and on bass."
